The third quarter is nearing a close, which means it’s almost everyone’s favorite time: finals! These dreaded last two days of the quarter can be difficult for many of us; however, with the right tips and tricks, you can do better on these tests than you would if you pulled an all-nighter.

The first thing in mastering a test is to study the guides your teachers give you. Yes, that is extremely obvious, but most won’t follow this advice at all even though it is the best thing you can do. You should look over these study guides a couple times in order to fully know what it is you are testing over. Even ten minutes of studying a night can be beneficial to your grades.

After studying for the past few days, with the day of the finals upon us, the next thing you should do is the stereotypical process of getting a good night sleep with a good breakfast in the morning. Once again, extremely obvious, but there are reasons why you constantly hear people tell you to do this.

Finally, a personal tip, is to dress comfortably/nicely. Some people find it easier to take tests if they dress in sweatpants and a hoodie, while others find that dressing nicely will make them more productive. No matter what, just take your time and don’t cry. If you fail, it’s not the end of the world. It’s only one day, one test, out of a bunch. You’ll make it.
