Ava High School typically has at least one Safe and Sober assembly per semester, and this year is no different. This time, it comes during the week before prom, which was on March 25th this year. The assembly encouraged students to make good decisions at prom, and in general everyday life. These assemblies are usually a half hour to an hour long, and cover a variety of topics. The topics involve drinking, driving, and drugs and what they do to affect your body and safety. The assembly took place in the Ava Performing Arts Center on March 22nd during school hours.
