Hunter R. Watson is a Senior at Ava High School! She’s been working with the newspaper for two years now, and  loves it. She thinks it’s so much fun to write the stories, and go around getting pictures for everything. It can be a little stressful at times, but she enjoys doing it. She’s lived in Ava almost all of her life, but was born in Fort Hood, Texas, in an army hospital. Her family moved here when she was very little, only six months old! Some of her favorite foods are blueberries and spaghetti, but only the way her mom makes it. She also loves Dr.Pepper and raspberry tea. Her favorite books are Lord of the Rings, the Lunar Chronicles, and the Warriors series. In fact, she’s been reading the Warriors books since she was in second grade, ten years ago! Hunter’s not really sure if she’s got a favorite movie, but she loves to watch Doctor Who, Futurama, and a few animes that aren’t really on the air anymore. Hunter also reads manga! Her favorite song changes all the time, but the latest ones were Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and “Nancy Mulligan,” and Hozier’s “Like Real People Do.” She’s a huge Disney nerd and a Broadway junkie, which is why most of her playlists have showtunes on them! Her favorite musical is either Hairspray or Hamilton, but she can’t choose between the two! Hunter is in a few other clubs and stuff besides Newspaper, too. This is her sixth year in choir, and her third year of Concert Choir. Hunter is also the drama department’s Stage Manager, four years running. She’s helped or been a part of every play or musical Ava High School has done since her Freshman year! Hunter is also in NHS, the Vice President of Anchor club, a member of Tri-M,  and, if we ever get one formed, she’ll be in the Drama club, too! Thanks for reading her staff bio!
